Ecolution CEO, Kevin Knapp, speaks on Thursday, the 10th of September 2020 at the Cambridge Cleantech *A new Green Deal for retrofitting homes?* Webinar.
Cambridge Cleantech is a network organisation supporting the growth of sustainable, ‘clean technology’ companies in the United Kingdom. Cambridge Cleantech connects innovators, corporates, academics, SMEs and investors for a smarter, more sustainable future. They are a powerful catalyst in the cleantech sector responding to global sustainability challenges.
The Green Homes Grant launched by the Government this September 2020 will retrofit over 600,000 homes. This scheme comes as a support to meet the UK government’s target of becoming Carbon Zero by 2050. The Chancellor Rishi Sunak said:
The Green Homes Grant is a vital part of our plan for jobs as we secure the UK’s economic recovery from coronavirus. This is going to be a green recovery with concern for our environment at its heart.
It will help to protect and create jobs, while also saving people money and cutting carbon.
Cambridge Cleantech is organising a webinar from which those interested will get an update on the new green deal and its significance in retrofitting homes. A number of experts will update us on the latest smart home developments.
Kevin Knapp, Ecolution Group CEO, will talk about the importance of delivering quality in the energy-efficiency retrofit market, maintenance regimes and lessons learned in over 20 years of experience in the renewable and energy-efficient technologies sector.
Ecolution Group is an MCS (Certification Number: NIC-5583) and Trust Mark approved installer and a Cambridge Cleantech associate founder member.
