Make your buy-to-let properties more appealing to Tenants by Going Green!
When choosing a rental property 42% of tenants consider whether a building is eco-friendly, new research has revealed.
According to the recent survey, the green credentials of a potential home are even more important for those renting properties in London, with 50% of tenants asked agreeing to this.
On average those who paid more rent were also more likely to consider a building’s environmental credentials important.
Martyn Alderton, national lettings director at Your Move and Reed Rains, said: “Whether it’s to reduce their energy consumption, save money or make a positive impact on the environment it’s good to see that tenants consider the ‘greenness’ of a building an important factor in their rental decision”
“As we continue to build more and more homes for our growing population, it’s vital that we do whatever we can to create a more sustainable future for our planet and use our resources as carefully as possible.”
Luckily here at Ecolution, we offer the installation of a variety of renewable technologies that can help landlords meet the government set energy ratings, which include a wide variety of renewable and energy-efficient technologies.
Renewables are crucial when it comes to achieving the very highest EPC ratings. This means solar PV, solar thermal, wind, heat pumps and biomass. Solar PV for instance will usually provide a good boost to the EPC rating, taking the score up by a whole rating band in many cases, but this will depend on the size of the system.
For more information on any of these technologies please have a look at our website, however, if you wish to speak to someone today then please get in touch and one of our dedicated team members will be able to talk about all things installation and maintenance with you today!
